Postalloy® 3042-FCG is a gas-shielded, flux-cored welding wire with exceptional strength and ductility properties. Ideal for weld joints under high restraint and multi-pass welds. Weld deposits are highly crack resistant with very good low temperature notch toughness.
The special fluxing characteristics and added deoxidizers allow the user to weld through contamination such as mill scale, rust, paint, and oil and grease making it ideal for the most demanding welding repairs. the fast freeze characteristics of the Postalloy® 3042-FCG deposit allows the user to weld in position with minimal parameter changes...making this the easiest product on the market for welding in ANY position...including overhead!.

Applications
- Postalloy® 3042-FCG should be used for fabricating structural shapes such as "I" and "H" beams, channels, plates and pipe. Ideal for fabricating wear plate.
- Excellent for use on construction and mining equipment such as dozer blades, buckets, crane and shovel booms.
- Also truck and bus frames.
